Charity film: The Last hope

The Last Hope is a charity film, part of a fund raising project on Mahidol Day 2012. It is a story of a poor man, Chuang, who almost losses everything in his like. The donation will go to Suandok Hospital Foundation to help constructing a geriatric institute.

Dr. Wongpakaran appeared in the 4th scene as young Somsri, a teacher in a remote area of Chiang Mai, who is a friend of Lamduan, a daughter of an old man, Chuang. Chuang's life is a tragidy as he was a gambler who disappointed his family until his daughter left home, and his wife passed away from depression. Somsri is both a teacher of Chat's (Lamduan's son), and friend of Chuang's family.

Part I

Chuang is a poor carpenter and farmer who raises his only grandson with his minimal money. Chuang dreams of Chat's highest education and better life, but Chat wants to get a job and takes care of his grandpa. Chuang then suffers from a severe stroke and is taken to our hospital.

Part II

Chuang wants to save a land for Chat's education in the university so that he does not want to sell it. Chat's is Chuang's everything; however, the family has to choose between each other's future, Chuang's or Chat's. Chat's decides to sell the land for saving Chuang's life without Chuang's permission. On the day he is going to meet with the village leader, Chat is hit by a truck and dies by leaving Chuang unaware of this loss.
