Dr. Wongpakaran has been awarded the Anandhamahidol Foundation's Scholar Support Fund twice:

First term: between 1 July 2010-30 June 2013 (3 years)

Second term: between 1 July 2013-30 June 2016 (3 years)

This award has been granted by His Majesty the King for Thai professors in medical schools in Thailand who have devoted their lives in teaching, servicing, and researching. Two candidates are nominated from each medical school by faculties. All candidates have to submit a report of their work and a proposal of their special projects to the Anandhamahidol Foundation committee. The committee then interview all nominees. Finally, only around 10 candidates are selected to receive the award. Each term lasts 3 years (36 months). Each scholar has to submit an annual report to the Anandhamahidol Foundation for evaluation.
